The 2022 CR-V comes in five trims, including LX, Special Edition, EX, EX-L, and Touring. If you’re shopping for a new 2022 CR-V, learning more about the different trim levels can help determine which is best for you. Here’s everything you need to know about the trim levels for the 2022 Honda CR-V.

LX

The first trim for the CR-V is the LX, which offers a competitive price but fewer premium features. The LX trim for the 2022 CR-V has an MSRP of $26,800. All exteriors for the CR-V feature a sporty build and confident stance, but the exterior details vary depending on trim. The LX comes standard with two-speed intermittent windshield wipers, black power side mirrors, and multi-reflector halogen headlights with auto settings. The LX trim also has a black roofline spoiler and door handles. The six-way manual adjusting driver’s seat in the LX trim allows you to customize your comfort while driving.

All trims for the CR-V seat up to five passengers, and this trim comes standard with an automatic climate control system and auto control for the driver’s window. The LX has non-illuminated driver and front passenger vanity mirrors. This trim also comes with a five-inch color touchscreen. The 2WD Honda CR-V averages 28 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highway, while the AWD CR-V averages 27 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway. These numbers are consistent regardless of trim level.

The LX has an in-line four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. Adaptive Cruise Control, the Road Departure Mitigation System, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Forward Collision Warning using Honda Sensing are all safety features that come standard in the LX trim and all other trims for the CR-V. The LX also has a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with guidelines.

Special Edition

The second trim level for the 2022 CR-V is the Special Edition. The Special Edition trim for the 2022 CR-V has an MSRP of $28,000. The Special Edition CR-V comes with body-colored power side mirrors, roofline spoiler, and door handles. Unlike the LX trim, it also comes with Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock and variable intermittent windshield wipers. A six-way manual adjusting driver’s seat comes standard in this trim, but unlike the LX trim, the Special Edition trim comes with heated front seats.

It also has an additional 1.5-Amp USB Smartphone Interface, a 180-watt audio system with six speakers, and a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen display. This trim also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an upgrade from the LX trim. The Special Edition has the same engine as the LX and offers the same horsepower of 190 and 179 lb-ft of torque.

The LX does not come with Remote Start, and this trim does. Like the other trims for the CR-V, the Special Edition has a fuel tank capacity of 14 gallons and comes with a suite of safety features to keep the driver and passengers safe. One upgrade the Special Edition has over the LX is dynamic guidelines with the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera instead of standard guidelines.

EX

The 2022 Honda CR-V EX offers a few more features than the Special Edition. The EX has an MSRP of $29,310. Some exterior upgrades you can experience when you choose the EX trim include rear privacy glass, a security system, a One-Touch Power Moonroof with a Tilt Feature and LED fog lights. This is the first trim level with Heated, Body-Colored Power Side Mirrors with Integrated Turn Indicators. Unlike the previous two trim levels with manually adjustable driver’s seats, this trim comes standard with a 12-way Power Adjustment with four-way Power Lumbar Support.

For audio and entertainment, this trim also comes standard with SiriusXM and HD Radio, including second-row 2.5-amp USB charging ports. The EX is the first CR-V trim with the Three-Mode Drive System, which includes Economy and Sport options. AWD is also available for this trim if you choose to add it. The EX further enhances safety features by offering a Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor. The hybrid option for this trim also comes with an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System.

EX-L

The EX-L is the fourth trim for the CR-V and has an MSRP of $31,900. One premium exterior feature on the EX-L trim is a Power Liftgate with Programmable Height Settings, which makes it easier to access the cargo area of the CR-V. Unlike the LX and Special Edition trims, the EX and EX-L come with 18-inch alloy wheels. This trim also comes standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The HomeLink Remote System comes standard with this trim and allows you to connect to your other systems and control doors, gates, and other components from your CR-V.

In this trim, the front passenger’s seat comes with a four-way power adjustment to help both the driver and passenger customize their comfort. The seats in the EX-L are leather-trimmed, and this trim comes standard with the 180-Watt Audio System with eight speakers.

Touring

The Touring trim for the CR-V is the highest trim available and has a starting MSRP of $36,600. The Touring offers a unique suite of luxury options compared to other trims. The Honda CR-V Touring has the largest wheels available, the 19-inch alloy wheels. This trim also comes with automatic headlights, roof rails, and dual chrome exhaust finishers.

Additional luxury features in the Touring include the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition, Honda HD Digital Traffic, and a 330-Watt Premium Audio System with nine speakers and a subwoofer. The wireless charging pad in this trim allows you to connect your phone and go wire-free in your car, creating a less cluttered and more focused space.
