2023 Honda Accord Interior and Exterior Features
The Honda Accord is a brilliant family car, well-liked because of its affordability, fuel efficiency, nimble handling, and roomy interior. Honda plans to introduce a new generation of its midsize sedan in 2023, set to release early that year. While more information is due soon, current reveals and speculations give us a few things to look out for. Let’s talk about what we know so far.
2023 Honda Accord: Exterior Design

When the 2023 model’s trim levels are announced, the Honda Accord will likely offer something similar to the five past trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX-L, and Touring. It’s also very likely that the Accord Hybrid model will return a few months after the gasoline version releases in the first quarter of 2023.
Though spy shots deliver limited information about exterior updates, we can make a few logical assumptions. Honda usually makes their redesigns fairly significant, clearly showing that a new Accord generation has arrived. However, the Accord already has a tastefully upscale, minimalist design in its currently available model year, one that didn’t need much updating across the past few releases.
There are a few directions the new Accord might take, but it’ll probably adopt the new Honda Civic’s thinner headlights, more angular front end, and horizontal shoulder line, which seem to be part of the new generation of Honda styling. The outgoing Accord’s numerous arcs, curves, and C-shaped taillights will probably be straightened out, removed, or slimmed down to some extent.
2023 Honda Accord Color Options
The 2022 Honda Accord received one new color option called Sonic Gray Pearl. This soft bluish gray added another potential look to the Accord’s refined, fashionable appearance. While more information on the new Accord should arrive soon, we can assume the color options will be similar. For context, the 2022 versions of the Honda Accord offer the following colors:
- Crystal Black Pearl: A dark black, glossy color available on any trim level at no cost.
- Lunar Silver Metallic: The first of several metallic hues, this one is a classic silver, available on any trim level.
- Modern Steel Metallic: A metallic hue between the prior two colors, available on all trims.
- Platinum White Pearl: A premium pure white color that can be added on any trim level at a low cost.
- Radiant Red Metallic: The second of the premium colors with the same price and placement as Platinum White Pearl.
- San Marion Red: A standard color available on the Sport and Sport Special Edition.
- Sonic Gray Pearl: A new premium color for 2022, offered as an option on any trim level and replacing Meteoroid Grey Metallic.
- Still Night Pearl: A rich and captivating premium blue color is offered as an option on the Sport and Sport Special Edition.
All premium color options are priced at $395. The wheel size will likely be the same, ranging from 17 to 19 inches, and in similar customization styles and alternate designs as last time. We can’t wait to learn more about the 2023 Honda Accord exterior.
2023 Honda Accord: Interior Features and Cargo Space
With the spy shots that helped unveil details about the new Honda Accord generation all being from the outside, the details of interior updates are a bit tougher to guess. Based on the path Honda has taken with its midsize vehicles, there’s a fair chance that the 2023 Accord will get nudged closer to the premium side of the sedan market vehicle, all with no or minimal price change.
The interior of the 2022 Accord, for reference, was one of its strongest points, both elegant and opulent while remaining practical. The five passenger seats in this sedan are supportive, comfortable, safe, and spacious. The HVAC system is controlled by large dials and easy-to-reach buttons in the center console, whereas the infotainment system is higher up on the dashboard and has its own specific set of physical controls.
If the Accord takes inspiration from the new Civic on the inside as well as the outside, we can expect luxurious, well-padded leather seats, as well as ample head and legroom. All-weather floor mats, wireless charging ports, a center console with storage, and an advanced climate control system with available upgrades are also likely to return to the Accord’s spacious cabin.
Cargo space is likely to remain the same as last year at 16.7 cubic feet, although it may get a slight bump since it hasn’t increased since the 2018 redesign. The Accord’s cargo space consistently outperforms most competitors, so a slight increase should keep it at or near the top of its class.
2023 Honda Accord Technology
It’s expected that the 2023 Accord will build on its past strengths of an efficient powertrain, along with great infotainment and safety technology. Regarding cabin entertainment and infotainment, the most recent Accord comes standard with an 8-inch touch-screen display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, four speakers, Bluetooth, A Wi-Fi hotspot, 10 audio speakers, navigation, and wireless charging.
There’s no real reason the Accord’s lauded technology suite wouldn’t carry over to the new version. How it’ll change is a bit more vague, but we can take cues from the rest of the market. Among all-new features we’ll have to hear about later, the redesigned Accord may have a larger touch screen and an optional digital instrument cluster added to some or all trim levels.
Stay Tuned for New Honda Vehicles
As long as the 2023 Accord sticks to the past versions’ balance between comfort, utility, and efficiency, the upcoming model should become one of the best new cars available in and around Cleveland Heights. A release date should appear soon as part of a more thorough reveal of the vehicle’s trim levels, options, and changes.
