Exterior Features

The redesigned 2022 Honda Civic sedan sits low and wide on the road and has a powerful and athletic appearance. With its elongated hood, sleek, streamlined profile, and fastback-styled roofline, the Civic looks ready to perform. A menacing-looking front fascia, stylish rear end, and distinctive lighting signature make it unmistakable day or night, wherever you go on the Cleveland Heights roads.

The Civic LX trim features automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels with full covers, color-keyed door handles and power side mirrors, and LED side marker, brake, and taillights. You also get the convenience of remote keyless entry and trunk release.

Power and Performance

Powering the Civic LX is a refined 2.0-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, with power being transferred by a smooth, continuously variable transmission. An idle stop function improves the Civic’s fuel economy around town, and the LX will give you up to 31 mpg for city driving and 40 mpg on the highway.

Under the Civic EX’s hood is a smaller, but more powerful engine. The highly responsive turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder VTEC engine generates 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The turbo is also equipped with idle stop, and returns up to a frugal 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg for highway cruising.

Whichever Civic model you choose from Honda of Cleveland Heights, you are assured of Honda’s well-renowned sprightly handling and steering characteristics, along with a composed ride from the sport-tuned suspension. The Civic is easy to navigate around the Cleveland city streets while tackling the winding Ohio back roads.

Refined and Spacious Cabin

The Honda Civic’s modern restyled cabin is deceptively spacious and offers comfortable seating for five people. You can stow your gear in the roomy 14.8-cubic-foot trunk, while folding the rear seatbacks enables you to carry longer items. In the ergonomically-designed cockpit, the primary controls are intuitively placed to give you fingertip control.

The Civic LX has stylish fabric upholstery and a center console with a sliding armrest that reveals a storage compartment. Interior features include push-button start, LED gear position indicators, an automatic climate control system with rear-seat heater ducts, a tilt and telescoping steering column, and a 12-volt power outlet.

LX Interior Highlights

  • Front legroom: 42.3 inches
  • Rear legroom: 37.4 inches
  • Keyless ignition
  • Automatic climate control

If you go with the EX, you will get heated front seats, a 60/40-split rear seatback, a rear seat center armrest, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a leather-bound steering wheel and shift knob. A one-touch power tilt and slide moonroof gives the interior an airy and open ambiance.

Connectivity and Entertainment

The Honda Civic helps keep you informed, and your passengers connected and entertained on the road. The Civic LX features a 7-inch driver information display to provide you with vital vehicle information.

The infotainment system offers Bluetooth for streaming audio and hands-free calling, SMS text message function, a radio data system, a 2.5-amp USB port, and a four-speaker 160-watt sound system. Control is via the 7-inch color touch-screen display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration enables you access to your favorite music, apps, and maps directly through the Civic’s touch screen.

In the Civic EX, you can ramp up the volume with its more powerful 180-watt, eight-speaker audio system.

Safety Features

Safety does not take a back seat in the 2022 Honda Civic. Helping keep you on track are standard vehicle stability assist, traction control, and an anti-lock braking system with ventilated front discs, brake assist, and electronic brake distribution.

The Civic LX and EX also come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist features to keep you and your passengers safe on the Cleveland Heights city streets and the Ohio highways. It includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and a traffic sign recognition system.

Additional standard safety features include a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic gridlines, automatic high beams, a rear-seat reminder, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The EX trim further adds a blind-spot monitoring system that detects vehicles to the side of your car and warns you of their presence.
