Our History

Initially opened in 1971 as Motorcars Honda, we have a rich and long history in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Later, in 2019 we became Foundation Honda and then Honda of Cleveland Heights in 2021. 

Our dealership has become famous in recent years after installing the largest solar canopy in Ohio, designed by Dovetail Solar. 80% of the canopy is made of recycled automobiles. The canopy is a part of a complete rebuild of our dealership and was the largest solar array ever built in the United States. The solar panels were placed over our used car lot, which allows our guests to browse our inventory, no matter the weather. We can save significant amounts of electricity each month and around seven years' worth of ozone-killing emissions. 

Our work in solar energy has earned us multiple awards, including:

Our newly designed dealership is around 46,550 square feet and includes a state-of-art assembly line in the Service Center and a 500-square-foot kids' play area.
